138. End of year 2021

Wasn't the 2021 season full of highs and lows,  but aren't they always? Anyway that's it for another season, but this year was just a little different in that the team were doing ok in the points Steve Dave and Diana had done a brilliant job in keeping the car on track and making it consistent. The up shot was that up till The Hot Rod Drags we were in 3rd place, This is when I came over to take over the driving with Steve telling me not to f*** it up. As we know my driving didn't become  an issue as the car broke on the Friday The whole team was gutted.

We all thought that we had screwed up our chances of finishing anywhere in the points, a few weeks later Steve rang me to tell me that we may have finished in fourth which was later confirmed by Claire, after what we had been through that was as good as winning a Wally. Once again Steve has turned out to be an incredible tuner and a brilliant mechanic and....not a too shabby driver either, he deserves all the plaudits. Dave and Diana also worked their socks off to keep the car on track as usual. As for me well I still pay some of the bills and keep the blog going and Steve and I have weekly  conversations about the car .

Steve drove the car too new best times and speed low 8's and over 160 mph on a few occasions, 8 years ago when I first drove the car to a 17 second run I would never believe it was capable of running 8.24 s incredible!. Last Saturday night, 28th November Steve and Dave and their better half's Kerry and Jenny attended the Wild Bunch annual Christmas Awards  Dinner and Dance and they came away with trophy's yes real trophy's

It wont be long and Steve will have to get a bigger fish tank to put all the trophies on. so on to next year where we hope to go faster and quicker once we have an axle that works, we are in discussion at the moment on what way to go and as usual the car will be probably be finished being assembled at the track!!!! That's the last blog for this year hope everyone has a safe and great Christmas see you all at the track next year.
